5ifty - offering the good stuff
My passion for good clothes started many years ago…
As a child growing up in the 70’s I recall my (working) mother’s preference for crimplene - most likely for the convenience of it. I’m horrified to think that all those clothes are still somewhere, clogging up our planet along with every other item of plastic we’ve discarded since.
Natural fibres make fabulously comfortable clothes and after repeated wearing, mending and maybe even repurposing, they break down. Furthermore, they always feel better on your skin, so why wouldn’t you want that feeling all of the time?
5ifty came about in an effort to champion Australian made, Fair Trade and natural fibre clothing…I figure I’m putting the good stuff out there with the mantra
“Buy better, buy less, wear it more!”
Why can’t I shop at 5ifty online? 5ifty boutique studio is an experience in itself. Colour, texture, scent and sound combine to create a welcoming, calming atmosphere…a little zen in a world of noise. 5ifty stocks a unique and varied range of styles and generally only one of each size and colour. To put each item online for sale with accurate photographs and useful descriptions is a lot of work, and Kate knows that her 5ifty Sisters research online but rarely purchase online
